2019 Aquinas Medal Honoree

Eighth grader Julia Wingett has been chosen as St. Paul School 2019 Aquinas Medal Winner, which is the highest award a student can receive from the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

Through the Aquinas Medal award, the diocese recognizes one student from each school at the highest academic grade level who embodies the qualities they seek to instill in them. The Medal is not intended as strictly an academic recognition but “to make visible those young people in our schools who embody the spirit of the school’s mission and the philosophy of Catholic school education.”

Julia will receive her award at the 25th annual Bishop’s Dinner for Catholic Schools on Sunday, April 7 in Morgantown.

Julia is the daughter of Cory and Lisa (Lesho) Wingett.

Congratulations to Julia and the Wingett family on this wonderful honor!
