The School Based Health Program (SBHP) has been in existence for 20 years. It is a grant funded program from The Sisters of St. Joseph Health and Wellness Foundation and Diocese of Wheeling / Charleston. The SBHP serves the three catholic schools in Weirton and five catholic schools in Wheeling.

Erin has been apart of the SBHP since 2011. Erin does individual, group, and family counseling, behavioral observation and planning, and consultation with teachers / principals, families, and the community.

Monica MurrayRN - School Nurse
Nurse Monica started the nursing role this school year (after previously serving the program as administrative assistant). Monica provides and educates on first aid to students and staff. She also helps students and families manage any major medical problems. She educates on topics such as nutrition, physical activity, hand washing, and overall good health practices.

Jimmy SperlazzaPrevention Educator
Jimmy has been in this newly established role for the past several years. He does classroom education on many different topics to help promote physical and mental health of our students. He also consults with teachers and principal’s and helps with behavioral observation and planning.
