My name is Deena Tomshack; I am a life-long resident of Weirton. I have attended Catholic schools for most of my education. I attended St. Joseph the Worker grade school and then Weirton Madonna High School.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher very early in my life, so when I began my college career there were no questions on my major. I attended and graduated from West Liberty State College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education.
I started at St. Paul Catholic School in the fall of 2002 as the fourth grade teacher; I then was offered my dream position as the kindergarten teacher in 2005. I am now entering my 15th year at St. Paul’s. I love this school for its close relationships with the staff, students, and parents; I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else!
I currently live in Weirton with my husband Andrew and our beautiful daughter Juliana and son Drew.
