Mrs. Mallory Osleger
It appears I am a Catholic School student through and through! I attended St.Thomas Aquinas Grade School and CCHS High School in Steubenville before earning my Bachelors Degree at Waynesburg University. Now, I find myself back in the halls of a Catholic School as a teacher. I'm in my third year of Pre-3 and second year of STEM- and I couldn't be happier to be a part of this school family.
My husband Kent and I have been married for almost fifteen years! He is also a regular fixture around school, volunteering and hanging things in my STEM Lab!
We have two amazing children- Alexandra and Keegan- who both attend St.Paul School.
I love getting to come to school each day with my kids and work with people who have become like family to me. It is so fulfilling to be able to find new ways to enhance the experiences and education we provide for our students while also creating core memories for them!
Academics:
Our STEM Lab offers a special class for elementary and middle school students.
Weekly activities include LEGO engineering and hydroponics for growing plants.
The lab encourages curiosity and hands-on learning about the world.
Students experience portable planetariums, animal assemblies, and field trips in Pittsburgh.
We partner with the Carnegie Museum of Natural History for museum-grade specimens and lessons.
Projects:
After School Program: Little Steamers
During the monthly meetings, club members intergrate STEM lessons in a variety of topics - from music to physicology to amusement park design.
STEM learning pushes for creative soultions, critcial thinking, problem-solving, and even the ability to learn through our failures.
Why kids are excited here:
Our kids are able to learn through unique hands on play, group projects, and messy adventures. They learn about the world around us and what their place in that world might be. In the STEM lab, the possibilities are endless!
